The state can steal your child with no evidence, charge you child support, garnish your wages...
Before I relate this awful account of wrenching government tyranny and arrogance, and the horrible nightmare the state of Utah inflicted upon a young boy who KNOWS who his father is, if you don't know who your state legislator is, and aren't willing to find out and contact them, just leave now. Go away. Clearly you don't care about tyranny. Telling you this will just waste your time. American Idol is probably on.
This should make everyone with a sense of justice just puke. Everyone claims to have a sense of justice, but most are too lazy to ACTUALLY maintain justice.
The state can actually steal your child, drag you through a legal hell with no real representation, and CHARGE YOU FOR CHILD SUPPORT OF YOUR OWN KID WHEN THEY FORCIBLY TOOK CUSTODY with no evidence of abuse or neglect.
This is not America. This is communist China.
This is the true and very recent story of what I personally witnessed the state of Utah do to my friend James S. Longson. The state of Utah physically stole his 1 year old son two years ago, even though there never has been any, ANY evidence of abuse or neglect on James' part, and only conjecture/hearsay against James' (now ex) wife. She has some emotional/personality problems that just exploded after a year of torture from the state.
The state drug James through a legal hell for over a year, giving them the worst, most unavailable and uncaring "public defenders" I've ever heard of, which at the end also destroyed his marriage, as the state relentlessly tried to terminate James and his wife's parental rights. Part of the evil that motivated the state was the $20,000+ kickback that states get from the federal "government" for every child they successfully steal and adopt out. The state of Utah had a willing adoptive family for Zakary, which was the foster family, and amazingly, the state didn't care that Zakary knew his father. The state only cared about callously "doing their jobs" and "finishing the process" to get Zakary adopted to the new family, while claiming they were doing everything "in the best interests of the child." The state repeatedly admitted that the child was suffering "stress," disturbances, and trauma from all of this, but pretended they weren't the cause. The state only used the child's suffering as an excuse to ask their puppet "judge" to expedite the process. I learned from witnessing this long hell, that these "judges" see the parents as guilty until proven innocent. Jumping through the state's complicated hoops is the only way one can even HOPE to prove your innocence. Even the puppet "judge" knew it couldn't rule for the state outright (this judge is sub human which is why it's an "it") because there was no evidence of abuse or neglect, so it PROLONGED the horror in a way that only benefited the state. Incredibly, the "judge" gave James and his wife weekly supervised AND unsupervised visits for months, which as you would guess, bonded the child to his parents-ALL while the state was scheming with an ultimate goal of terminating parental rights, supposedly "in the best interests of the child" who was horrified and confused, and they knew would be ripped permanently from his parents.
The best part: for every second the state held Zakary against his father's will, the evil, tyrannical state actually has the nerve and the immoral legal ability to charge James child support on his OWN CHILD that the state won't allow him to take care of. The state knew that James posed no potential harm to Zakary because as I said, James was allowed UNSUPERVISED visits once a week for many months, which came after supervised visits were allowed for many months of this state caused nightmare. Oh, and the tyranny doesn't end here. The state was gleefully keeping track of the astronomical bill they were racking up in James' name for the child support of the child they were forcibly holding. After about 6 months of the state holding Zakary captive in their "care," they started sending James and his wife a massive bill for thousands of dollars (talk about insult to injury, kind of like China's practice of charging the family for the bullet). The aggression of the state didn't end there. They actually took this totally indigent (non illegal alien) family to court and got a judgment. Do you think state aggression stopped there? They started garnishing James' wages, even though he and his wife were so poor they had to live in a section 8 subsidized apartment (I lived several units south of James and his family). James always worked hard and never did drugs. One of James' biggest challenges came from a learning and communication disability, which made it difficult to keep jobs. The state of Utah took a man who had a hard enough time supporting his family, and drug them to endless court appointments in their quest to steal his child permanently. Very telling, the state couldn't get their puppet "judge" to simply order that their parental rights be terminated because they state had no evidence of abuse or neglect. The only thing the state had on their side, was the fact that the CAR-LESS Longson's had difficulty keeping up with some of the state's "service plan" (for those of you who are ignorant about how the state makes war on families, a "service plan" is a complex set of mostly meaningless, but very time consuming hoops that the state will strap to your back as you attempt to get your child back from them). When the state has no evidence to tag you as "unfit" and terminate your parental rights, they drag you through a LONG and complex "service plan," hoping (and in the case of the poor and partially disabled) KNOWING that you won't be able to fulfill every petty requirement, every duplicate "assessment," every pointless and redundant appointment with their hand picked "counselors," or every class. The state uses these endless hoops to harass frequently innocent parents into just giving up in frustration. It is miserable and just evil that the state is quietly hoping that you give up on your own child. James and his wife kept most of the idiotic, redundant, and harassing "service plan." James was able to jump through most of their pointless hoops, but it didn't matter in the end, because the state's agenda was clear all along. James' wife only jumped through about half the hoops in the "service plan."
In the beginning, the state pretended they were trying to reunite the family. They stated so on numerous occasions. It became more apparent that this was a lie until one day, the state held a "family team meeting" (yea I know, talk about a nauseating and condescending fraud to call it a "family team meeting") with the Longsons. I actually attended this infuriating meeting with the Longsons, their extended family, and the room full of VERY arrogant state bureaucrats. The room full of DCFS bureaucrats were acting very nervous from the start of the "family team meeting." It became apparent that they wanted to announce something. This lady who was their caseworker took the lead and was visibly shaking in fear from the start. It was spooky. She announced that "after much consultation and consideration of the best interests of the child" (keep your vomit bucket close by), they had decided that they (the state) was seeking termination of parental rights. I rolled my eyes because I knew this was their goal for 90% of this process. The state was just admitting the obvious. Even more disturbing was that this meeting really served no purpose and could have gotten really really ugly (probably the reason the bureaucrat was shaking). It was almost a meeting JUST so the state could jam it's finger in everyone's eyes. In this condescending way, the state bureaucrats in the room announced that "in fairness" everyone who wanted to, could ask questions and air problems. I raised my hand and asked WHO decided that the new (open) goal was to terminate rights. I got a very vague answer that included attorneys (plural). Translation: the state looked at it's poker cards and analyzed what they could get away with in their aggressive agenda. It was funny but within minutes after these bureaucrats announced their "rules of conduct" for the meeting,
one of their fellow bureaucrats, who figured out that I saw through their scam and wasn't on the state's side AT ALL, proceeded to angrily verbally attack me, which included name calling. I quickly pointed this out to no avail. You see, the rules don't apply to the "anointed ones," i.e. government agents. The rules and limitations only apply to parents that the state is able to get their claws into.
Fast forward.
The state bullied James into signing away his parental rights so as to avoid a trial. Incredibly, do you wanna guess who was pushing James to give up, throw in the towel, avoid the "difficulty" of a trial, and give the state everything it wants? James' own excuse for a lawyer that the state appointed. Can you say railroad?
2nd Fast Forward.
James told me today that the state is STILL seeking that he pay the thousands in child support for the child they stole 2 years ago. This is kind of like a tax on tyranny, that the victim of tyranny gets to pay. James is jobless, partially because of the lousy economy, and partially from his disabilities. This was the motivation to create this blog today. They'll bankrupt him for the rest of his life if they have to. It's all "for the children" right? I wonder, do Americans have the slightest clue what their government is doing. Do American have the slightest clue what kinds of new powers they have given government in the last few decades? Do Americans have the slightest clue what government is doing to their fellow citizens, in THEIR name? Do Americans care? Is government abusive and callous because Americans are hard hearted and calloused? It seems to me that not even 1/10th of the abuse would have been waged against my friend if Americans had courage, had empathy, and/or had a sense of justice. Now, Americans seem to have the attitude that "James must be guilty of SOMETHING if DCFS was investigating him." The problem is that DCFS' hostility didn't end with "investigations." Making excuses for tyrants is the end stage of the disease. Most Germans just looked the other way when the abuses started. The abuses got worse. This is where people fail to understand the concept. They assume that the Germany analogy cannot apply UNLESS government becomes EXACTLY like Hitler. They fail to comprehend that DCFS doesn't have to get worse in order to perpetrate horrible injustices upon children, their fathers and their mothers. In fact, the opposite of progression to Hitler is more likely. DCFS won't ruin a good thing (for them). They've already got ungodly powers and are virtually unaccountable. DCFS doesn't NEED to invade Poland (so to speak). Do you think Zakary Longson gives a flying shit in Chernobyl if DCFS gets worse or not, as he lays in bed RIGHT NOW thinking about his dad? As he lies and thinks about dad who lovingly played and talked with him? As he thinks about how he USED to see dad regularly? As Zakary wonders why these strangers tell him to call them mom and dad?
